Larry recently traveled to Arnhem Land, Australia to shoot a Bantang hunt for Where in the World is Colorado Buck.  That show will be coming soon, but for now we wanted to share this time-lapse that Larry shot while on location. It's shot beachside and captures the amber glow of a fire nearby.

Where in the World is Colorado Buck | Casey's Heart | African Safari

Below are a couple of previews of a special episode of Where in the World is Colorado Buck that aired on the Sportsman Channel from July 25th-31st.

I was given the opportunity to both document last year's Texas Stadium Explosion as well as capture a very special surprise for Casey Rogers of Casey's Heart, who was given a trip of a life time by Colorado Buck. Casey had a wonderful time as his dream of hunting in the African outback became a reality.

We Love the Heaton Family | McKinney, TX Videographer

We have the distinct privilege of living in community with some of our dearest friends while serving and loving on six very special adults with disabilities. It's called Cornerstone Ranch and on hot summer nights you can spend the evening in rocking chairs overlooking the gorgeous green pasture, swarming with fireflies. It's a little piece of heaven right here in Texas. The Founders of Cornerstone Ranch are Cynthia and David Heaton. They are a precious couple and their two hearts combined have already left a monumental imprint on many lives, including our own.

After many years as the primary house parents at Cornerstone Ranch, The Heaton's made the difficult decision to move closer to their children's school. At the beginning of the month, the Heaton's moved into a darling new home and we welcomed the Schulte family as the new house parents at Cornerstone.  It was a bittersweet time for all of us here on The Ranch as countless memories flooded our minds.

Larry shot and edited a short film for the Heaton's so that we could shower them with thanksgiving for their immense love, generosity and service at Cornerstone. You will not be left with dry eyes! :)

A Super Sonic Birthday Party | DFW Family Documentary

Some dear friends of ours recently threw a killer birthday party for their son, Tyler. Tyler loves Sonic the Hedgehog and obstacle courses, so his parents worked hard to plan a muddy obstacle course, complete with zip line and Super Sonic Finish Line.  It.was.awesome.  Larry was asked to video and make a short video as a thank you to Tyler's guests, which was such a thoughtful  and creative idea.

JJ Caceria | Big Fish | Argentina Videographer

Jose Luis Grasso is a wonderful man who runs JJ Caceria, who not only offers wingshooting and big game hunting, but fishing as well in Cordoba, Argentina.  

A big thank you to Jose, Ines and of course Colorado Buck for an amazing ten days at JJ Caceria. I had a great time documenting the trip and look forward to editing three episodes of Where in the World is Colorado Buck, which will include hunts for Water Buffalo, Duck and Dove, the nocternal Cape Barra and some more fishing.

Larry is still in Argentina with Colorado Buck on some grand adventure and today we celebrate our second anniversary. And that has also been quite an adventure!

Check out the movie of our destination wedding in sunny California. We stayed at a comfy vacation home called No Name Resort and YOU should stay there. It was perfect. I have to brag on my husband here - he did such a beautiful job on our wedding keepsake and every time I watch it I get the same butterflies in my stomach and I can smell the sweet honeysuckle and bold red wine all over again. LET'S DO IT AGAIN! (hint, hint).

SWP will be providing the videography for the 1st Annual Jason Terry Foundation Father-Daughter Ball. We are looking forward to this great event! Dads, if you have a little princess at home, you should consider this special occasion to bond with her!

Jason Terry Foundation Inc. is holding our first annual father/daughter ball, "A Royal Affair", on June 19, 2011 from 5pm-9pm, at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel. This will be an evening to highlight and foster the importance of the father/daughter ... relationship. We will provide a sit-down dinner, dancing, individual photos, and a chance to win prizes throughout the evening. Scholarships will also be presented to our 2011 recipients of our H.O.O.D (helping others obtain dreams) Scholarship program.

Every girl is a princess in her father's eyes, and this night should be an evening to remember for every royal guest in attendance, for years to come.

What's In a Name?

Since we launched Superwife, we've received a number of questions related to it's name. We are often asked, "How did you come up with the name Superwife?" As Larry's wife, this can be a difficult question to answer, as I immediately want to make a disclosure statement assuring people that I am by no means "superwife". So, here is a little story of how SWP came to be.

Larry and I were married in May of 2009. About a month after being married, I noticed that Larry still had me programmed in his phone as Courtney Coker and this just did not seem fitting. So, with batting eyelashes I hinted that an adoring nickname was in order since I was after all his new blushing bride. A couple of weeks later I noticed that he had changed my name to Superwife. Ah, much better, I thought to myself.

Fast forward to October.  Larry threw me my very own surprise party and premiered our long-awaited wedding video. At the end of the video, Superwife Productions flashed across the screen, along with the sound effect of a big, wet kiss. [Swoon]. I loved it and it meant something really special to me - and he knew that it would.

Okay, fast forward again. Last year Larry was asked to do a wedding video for his friend Dustin Maddux and his bride-to-be, Heather Cunningham. We were thrilled about the opportunity. As we began to prepare for their wedding, it made sense that we could use Superwife Productions for their big day as well. It was during this time that we were beginning to brainstorm about building Larry's freelance business. As time went on and the business began to take shape, we had many, many discussions about potential business names, but we just kept coming back to Superwife.

And that's it, really. It's just a name, born out a husband wanting to encouraging and spur on his wife with a silly nickname.

But to prove I am no superwife, I will first direct you to Proverbs 31.  Nothing will humble a woman quicker than this Proverbial woman. Secondly, I will leave you with a quick top-ten list of some of the things that keep me in superwife-in-training status:

1. I leave mounds and mounds of clothes piled up for weeks at a time, rather than hanging them in their rightful place.

2. Larry does way more dishes than I do.

3. I leave the toothpaste cap off - always.

4. A go to bed at 10p. And I have a night owl husband.

5. I can be a very bad listener, particularly when Hoarders is on.

6. I have been known to be much more temperamental than Larry. Who isn't though?

7. I might do leave hair on the shower wall occasionally.

8. I regard macaroni-and-cheese as a complete meal.

9. I leave a trail of my belongings from the bottom of the stairs on up.

10. I spend a lot of our hard-earned money on coca-cola at Sonic.

Larry recently headed three hours northwest of Ft. Worth to Seymour, Texas to capture Becca and Juan's beautiful wedding day. If any one needs any country dance lessons, this is the town to visit!

Young Life's Wilderness Ranch | Colorado Videographer

This summer, Larry and I were able to escape for a few days to Young Life's Wilderness Ranch which is tucked away in the breath-taking San Juan Mountains in Creede, Colorado. It is an incredible place for teenagers to escape the busyness and demands of high school and have "the best week of their lives".

Check out Larry's latest project which captures the essence of this special place called Wilderness Ranch! He was both the video editor and the video shooter on this project.
